OBJECTIVES

Presentation

“Would you like to explore the traces left by ancient societies and investigate historical sources?
Then the Bachelor’s degree in History is made for you.
From the first year, you will be introduced to critical analysis of different types of historical sources (palaeographical, epigraphic, archaeological, iconographic, audiovisual and digital) and develop your analytical mind.
At the end of the third year, you will master information gathering tools, both in French and in another foreign language (English or Spanish).
Designed as a progressive specialisation programme, the History degree will also introduce you to the challenges of research into international, Atlantic and coastal history, as well as cultural and heritage issues."

A joint honours degree in History and Geography enables students to obtain both a History and a Geography degree in three years.
